How It Works

From a long address to a shareable link in a few steps.

The shortener is designed so that a first-time visitor can understand it without a tutorial.

  1. Paste the destination.

    Enter a complete website address. If the protocol is missing, the tool attempts to use HTTPS.

  2. Choose the link type.

    Use the smart option for speed, random for a fresh code, or custom when you want a memorable alias.

  3. Add optional controls.

    Open advanced settings to choose an expiration period or add a link password.

  4. Create and verify.

    The server validates the destination, checks availability, and returns the finished short link.

  5. Copy, scan, or manage.

    Copy the link, create its QR code, or sign in to view it later in your dashboard.

What happens during a redirect

When someone opens the short URL, the service checks that the code exists, is active, has not expired, and satisfies any password requirement. It then records the permitted analytics and sends the visitor to the original destination.
